INGREDIENTS:
Beans one bunch
Toor Dal - ¼ cup
Mustard - 1 tsp
Curry leaf - 3 to 4
Salt for taste
Cooking oil
Ingredients for grinding
Chili - 3 nos
Garlic - 2 nos
Coconut - 3 tbsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Cumin/Geera - 1 tsp
PREPARATIONS
- Cook the toor dal in cooker for two whistles. Should not be over cooked.
- Cut the beans into small pieces.
- Heat some oil in a pan, put mustard into the oil and allow it to splatter.
- The put the sliced beans keep sorting for 2 to 3 mins, then into it add the cooked dal and little water.
- Close the pan and cook it for 4 to 5 mins. But keep sorting in between.
- Grind all the grinding ingredients (Chili, Garlic, Coconut, Turmeric, and Cumin/Geera) together once. Please take care not to make it paste.
- Put the grind mix into the pan, add enough salt and if required add little water.
- Close the lid and cook it till the beans is cooked soft.
- Once the beans is cooked garnish it with curry leaf.
