Onion - 1 big size
Salt
Cooking Oil for deep fry
INGREDIENTS For Batter:
Gram Flour/ Besan/ Kadala Mavu - 1/2 cup
Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
Basking powder - ¼ tsp (optional)
Salt for tast
PREPARATIONS
- Slice the onion into thin pieces.
- Make a thick batter of gram Flour, chilli powder, backing powder and salt.
- Put sliced onion into the batter and mix it well, so that the batter get coated on the onion.
- Heat oil in a nonstick pan, once the oil get heated put the coated onion into the oil.
- Fry it in low flat by turning both the side, till the onion turn golden brown.
Best snack item along with a cup of strong tea.
