Onion Curry | Ulli Curry


















INGREDIENTS:
1 Large Onion  Finely sliced
1 medium size Tomato finely sliced
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Curry leaf - 4 nos
Coconut milk/Ordinary Milk - 1 cup (optional)
Salt
Cooking Oil


PREPARATIONS

  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, put the finely sliced onion in oil.
  2. Fry the onion, on a low flame, till it gets cooked soft .
  3. Now add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of oil and fry it for 5 mins or till the raw smell of the masala goes.
  5. Then add the sliced tomato and sort it for 2 mins. Close the pan lid and allow it to cook this the tomato get blended nicely with the masala and onion.
  6. Keep the flame low, then add the milk and cook for 2 mins or water enough water depending on the gravy consistency you need.
  7. Serve it with any kind of Biryani or can be had with chappati or dossa.
