Vermicelli Upma












INGREDIENTS:
Vermicelli  - 2 cups
Red Chili - 3 to 4 no
Grated Coconut - ½ cup
Mustard - 1  tsp
Curry leaf - 4 nos
Salt
Cooking Oil

Preparation for normal vermicelli

  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a nonstick pan, and parallely boil 4 cups of water in another vessel.
  2. Put the vermicelli once the oil gets heated and fry till it becomes light golden brown in medium flame.
  3. Put this fried vermicelli into the boiling water and leave it for 5 mins for the vermicelli to get cooked.
  4. Remove the vessel from the flame and drain the water.
  5. Pour cold water directly from the tap into the vessel and then drain the cold water, and keep it aside.

PREPARATIONS
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and put the mustard into it.
  2. Once the mustard start splattering put the red chili and curry leafs.
  3. Then put the cooked vermicelli into the pan.
  4. Add enough salt and grated coconut, and mix it gently for 2 to 3 mins in low flame.
