Chicken Fry | Kozhi Varutha







 




INGREDIENTS:
Chicken Legs - 5
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Onions - 2 nos
Curry leaf - 4 nos
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 1 ½ tbsp
Salt
Cooking Oil


Ingredients for Marination
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Salt


Chicken Preparation:
  1. Marinate the chicken for ½ an hour with salt, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste.
  2. Heat oil in a nonstick pan and shallow fry the chicken till it become golden brown.

Gravy preparation for Chicken
  1. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and finely slice the onion.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, fry the ginger garlic paste in the oil till the raw smell goes.
  3. Then add the finely sliced onion into it, and fry till the onion gets cooked transparent.
  4. Once the onion gets cooked, add the chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder into it.
  5. Fry it in flow flame till for 4 to 5 mins, then add the cut tomatoes into it and keep sorting it till the tomatoes get cooked well.
  6. Then add the fried chicken and enough salt into it. Close the pan lid and allow it to cook. Keep stirring in between to avoid sticking to the pan.
  7. Once the water in the gravy get reduce and turns brown color, switch of the flame and garnish with curry leaf.
