Jeera rice | Cumin Rice













INGREDIENTS:


Any small size rice (Sona Masoori) or basmati rice- 1 cups
Water - 2 cups
Jeera - 1 tbsp
Bay leaves - 2
Cinnamon - 3 to 4 small sticks
Salt for taste
Cooking oil


PREPARATIONS
  1. Wash the rice and spread in on a plate for drying.
  2. Fry the dried rice in pan for 2 to 3 mins.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pressure cooker and add bay leaf, cinnamon and jeera. Fry it for 2 to 3 mins.
  4. Then add the fried rice, enough salt and 2 cups of water. Allow it to cook for three whistles. Make sure the rice is not cooked mushy the grains should be separate.
