Thoran or poriyal is most common side dish for lunch and dinner in any south Indian house. Beans poriyal/thoran is one of its variety.
INGREDIENTS:
Beans one bunch
Mustard - 1 tsp
Salt for taste
Cooking oil
Ingredients for grinding
Chili - 3 nos
Garlic - 2 nos
Coconut - 3 tbsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Cumin/Geera - 1 tsp
PREPARATIONS- Finely slice the beans.
- Take a non-stick pan heat 1 tbs oil.
- Put mustard and allow it to splatter.
- The put the sliced beans and add 2 tbsp of oil, and keep sorting for 2 to 3 mins.
- Then close the pan lid and cook it for 4 to 5 mins. But keep sorting in between.
- Grind all the grinding ingredients (Chili, Garlic, Coconut, Turmeric, and Cumin/Geera) together once. Please take care not to make it paste.
- Put the grind mix into the pan, add enough salt and 2 tbsp of oil.
- Then mix it well with the beans, and close the lid and cook it for 5 mins.
